Impromptu Breaky

Over the weekend I developed a hankering for Bacon Sandwiches for breakfast. Now, I love bacon but sometimes it's too much effort to make and that's mainly because I'm lazy but I was determined to enjoy a bacon Sarnie while watching my footy on Saturday morning!

So I purchased some maple smoked/flavored or whatever bacon. I sprinkled some brown sugar on it and tossed in the oven at 350' for like 30 minutes.

We had some left over French bread from dinner so I sliced that bad boy and added my fancy bacon and NOM, NOM, NOM ,NOM!!!!

Pearl, my assistant or partner in breakfast crime.  No, I won't use those pans she's comfortable sitting in.

Mmmmm, Bacon with brown sugar!  

It's like grown up candy!

Brunch starts with Caprese and Bottemless Bellinis

I freaking love brunch! I love all-you-can-eat, endless mimosa buffet brunches, I love set menu brunches, I just love to brunch! This weekend past I went out with my ladies to the Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica for a lovely, lovely brunch. We were short of two of my favorite gal pals but we were joined by V who lives to eat but she's beyond fit as a fiddle. Dining with people who love to eat is the best. Here are some photos.

Happy Birthday Helen!

My great friend Helen drove up to the beautiful Central Coast to visit me and my family, watch some football and to celebrate her birthday with some wine tasting. We went to my favorite vineyard/winery Bridlewood. I've taken my excellent friend Rebecca, as well, and I will take all of my friends because it's beautiful and they have fantastic wine!
